Have you heard of Fortnite? Have you watched any of the Overwatch World Cup? eSports is a growing sector of the entertainment industry. 60+ colleges and universities now offer eSports programs and scholarships. This session will help explain the basics of what eSports is and where it fits into the K-12 system. Time will be provided for a discussion on eSports at the end of the session. Questions to discuss: Should first person shooter games be allowed in school? Should eSports be a club or sports team?
